8-Channel 2-Way (Bi-directional) 3G/HD/SD-SDI to Fiber Optic Converter system uses CWDM (Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology to multiplex and send 8 distinct forward and 8 distinct return high-definition video signals simultaneously over a single optical fiber 1 x LC.

This broadcast-grade system is primarily used where uncompressed, zero-latency high-definition video needs to be transported over long distances (typically 10km via Single-Mode Fiber) without degradation or electromagnetic interference.

  • Outside Broadcasting (OB Vans) & Mobile Production: Allows production trucks to interface directly with field cameras, field monitors, and production switchers located kilometers away.
  • Live Event & Concert Production: Transmits multi-camera setups from the stage to the front-of-house (FOH) or broadcast control room while simultaneously sending return feeds (e.g., director monitors, teleprompter feeds, or return program video) back to the stage.
  • TV Studio & Remote Production (REMI): Connects remote studios, newsrooms, or control rooms across different floors, buildings, or campus facilities.
  • 4K / UHD Video Transmission: Because it features 8 individual 3G-SDI channels, it can be combined to transmit up to two independent 4K/UHD streams at 60fps (using Quadrant 4-link 3G-SDI mapping) or up to four 4K streams at 30fps.
  • Command & Control Centers / Military: Used in secure environments for flicker-free, real-time uncompressed video monitoring over vast distances.
